Super Granny Series #2
In my last post, I wrote about the 98-year-old photojournalist. This time I’d like to introduce an 89-year-old female athlete. Her name is Mitsu Morita, who lives in Kumamoto, Japan.
She holds the 100m and 200m world records in the 85-89 age group. Records Outdoor Women It all started when she happened to win a race at the local community sport recreation. She was 70. Since then she has been a member of the local athletics club and continued her training with elementary school students. In the video, she says she eats pork every morning. It is said that protein is essential for elderly people. Her dream is to reach the top at age 100.
My aunt also began playing table tennis when she was about 60. Now she is about 80. She plays table tennis for 2 hours, 4 times a week. It’s amazing! I learned it’s never too late to try something new.
She is amazing! I hear it is very important to stay active when you are older to keep your heart healthy and to stay limber. People who are active tend to live longer, healthier lives than those who lead a sedentary life.
Hi, Susie 🙂 Yeah, use it or lose it!
Awesome! Super women!
Yeah. I can’t do like her, but I feel it necessary to workout.
