Super Granny Series #7
I forgot to mention one more person in this series : Ernestine Shepherd. She is a 76-year-old body builder.
According to Mail Online, she was a ‘couch potato’ until she was 56 years old. It seems you can gain muscle mass at any age. Now she is an instructor at a sport club. I heard of her two years ago. Her news encouraged me to work out. But I trained too hard and pulled my calf muscle(>_<) After that, I didn’t feel like using any training machines for a while, but this month I started out again. Yeah! My muscle tone has decreased a lot during this period. The slate is wiped clean now.
By the way, the current Guinness holder for the oldest female bodybuilding is another person, Edith Wilma Connor who is 77 years old (might be 78) She is American too. She started body building in her 60s. Such articles make me feel like I shouldn’t waste my time. I’m gonna exercise now! (I’m not intending to become a body builder-just a healty person)
Wow, her body is more muscular than mine. I stopped going to a gym a long time ago…
Hi, tukusigal. How are you? I’m now addicted to language learning social networks. I had my writing corrected as follows “You will lose your muscles as you get older if you don’t exercise them”(^^)v
I see. Do you get correction by somebody for free? That sounds like a great way of learning and improving English.
Of course, free. They are great websites. I’ll write about such social networks in a few days. Don’t miss it 😀
Wow she is so toned and her skin is so supple!
That’s amazing that she was a couch potato and now looks amazing! I wonder if she got tired bored with retired life and decided to get up and do something.
you often give me a useful English expression in the comment. “she is so toned” Thank you 🙂
She looks great! I wish I had her arms and defined tummy… wow!
Hi,Snapfairy. Thankfully, we can gain muscle mass from anytime. I am motivated by her 😀
Inspiring! I don’t need to be a body builder either, but I do want to stay in shape. Yesterday I walked for on hour! I loooove loooong walks.
Hello, angrygaijin. Did you walk for AN HOUR! Wasn’t it boring? I wonder what got you interested in walking.. I can walk in a mall for hours though. Anyway you did a good exercise!
Hahaha, good question. I like walking because it clears my mind. One time I walked for 5 hours though, and I got bored. ^_^
Yes, I’ve heard of that effect of walking. It’s also said that walking would stimulate your brain and make it easier to get a new idea. That sounds nice (^^)
